He is in the golf niche and sells golf gloves on his website. It's exactly one type of glove with different size variations so pretty much it's just a "Place An Order" page with two comprehensive pages that talk about the product (the standard and the glove for juniors)

You'll see what I mean when you take a look at the site. It's tiny. Most standard e-commerce sites would have a category page. But his website does not need a category page as what would be the purpose, if it's just literally one product?
I've been helping him with the SEO efforts for his website but he and I are both frustrated that his website cannot rank for "golf gloves", not even in pages 7,8,9,10, etc. I was wondering if a more educated expert can take a look and identify what the issue may be. Since it's a relatively tiny website with a few amount of pages, there's not a whole lot of content but did my best working with a copywriter to make the content on pages where needed, comprehensive and compelling as possible. What's funny is that his website ranks for "the golf glove" and "golf training gloves" but not "golf glove" or "golf gloves".
