We’ve been tasked to create goals for each client based on calculated projections. These have to include percentage increases per each goal.
Some of the goals would be increase traffic by x%, decrease bounce rate by x%, increase conversion, etc.
My question is, have any of you have set formulas for this? We have SEO monitor and use their projections...but their not trustworthy. Right now I’m calculating YoY percentage change in traffic, averaging those numbers, and using that percentage plus around 2% for traffic projections. We’re trying to factor in tactics tho..
I’m not sure if this is a good method and if it could be applied to other metrics like bounce rate.
Btw, I know it’s laughable for clients to expect SEO projections but more and more of them are asking for it.
Thanks!
