Are there tools or strategies to do long tail keyword (LTK) research that focuses on alternate keywords that are specific to a persona or more simply job title or role?
I'm just getting into learning LTK research and the majority of articles I've read and tools I've evaluated talk about long tail keywords that are simple variants of a "head keyword". For instance, our business is in employee recognition. So, the tools give LTK's like "employee recognition for X" or "employee rewards for X".
What I'd like to do is target LTK's that do not include "employee recognition" but still would be searched by people in our field, such as HR professionals. For instance, thinking off the top of my head, I might do some research on "resolving employee conflicts while working from home".
In my novice view, it seems like targeting LTK's that are non-obvious but highly relevant to the persona or role of the searcher could be a winning strategy. Although, I am concerned about the conversion potential of going for these keywords that diverge from the head keyword significantly.
