I wonder if anyone can help with a query? My client recently changed some of the content on one of their pages and moved the existing content to another URL.
When I look in Search Console the old URL has been redirected to the new url with a 301.
So basically:
/oldpage content was moved to /newpage
And new content (more relevant for the search query) added to /oldpage
I requested both URLs to be reindexed in search console over a week ago but when I check /oldpage has been 301's to /newpage.
I should say the content is fairly different, the content which was on /oldpage was a feature list whereas the new content is long form content around the search query used in the url.
Any idea of how to reverse the 301?
