Hi all! I'll give a brief synopsis. A friend of mine has an e-commerce business. She's 70 (still going strong!) She hired an agency in 2006.. been with them ever since. About 8 months ago they told her she will see a $350 charge for SEO monthly. The company is very vague about what they are doing and how (sure, I get it). Recently, she logged in to her WP-Admin and I see Yoast... free version. My fear is she's being taken advantage of. They tell her they're "doing everything she needs not to worry" but I feel this all just a cash grab. What can I do to see if they're actually doing SEO for $350 and not just ripping her off? Her traffic has been the same as usual. She's been doing this SEO "package" now for 8 months. On the 30th it’ll go to $380 for renewal.
I wasn't sure if website links are allowed, so I left it out. Due to the self serving rule.
Any and all help is appreciated. She's a small business running it out of her home at 70!
