I published a "guide" article that explains everything to do with a certain product and then lists 5 of the best products that you can find on Amazon. However, it is titled like this: "The Complete Guide to X for X"
I have also collected a few backlinks over the months through guest posting which directly link to this article. It seems to be ranking #1 for "X guide", but it doesn't appear when the user searches for "best X", which is the most common search query..
I am considering changing the title to align with the more popular search terms, such as "The 5 Best X for X", but i may lose my #1 position when users search for the guide. I have numerous "best X" keywords throughout the article, and even a H2, so i would thought that it would rank for it, but it doesn't seem like that's happening. I don't know why.
I think i can get away with leaving the URL as it is (/productname), but if i were to change the URL and redirect it, i assume this would annoy people who have backlinked. Has anyone had a similar experience? As i may need to change the URL on a different article.
