Hi everyone !
I've been browsing this subreddit for some time now but I've never been an expert in seo :)
I've recently began a new job at a start up that is already big in other countries and they hired me to launch their service in a European country.
We are now selecting keywords to rank in the language of this country. As such, we translated the whole website.
My question is the following : can we afford to rank on very competitive local keywords as the website is already very popular abroad ? We have the budget for paid traffic and as I'm not an expert in SEO, I was wondering if we can compete with others directly ? The company has targets so I believe we should take the risk ?
Maybe I do not understand the concept but I didn't find any info regarding this problem :)
