A colleague of mine advised me to check the hosting and IP address of the site for "bad" neighbors, but I've never done this before on any of my work. He claims it is very important for SEO. I searched for information and only found discussions from 10 years ago about this!!! I checked one of the sites and it appeared to have "bad" neighbors in the form of small casino blogs, but there was also a tour operator, a small bank that gives out loans, blogs, but no adult sites. This site I checked out is small and feels great online, with no backlinks, it was growing (it is currently not used or updated, so its popularity has declined slightly).
Do you check your sites and have you noticed the impact of the IP address on your site?
