I have an existing website on mycompanyhere.com. I also own the domain for mycompanyhear.com in case of any misspellings.
If I want mycompanyhear.com to redirect to mycompanyhere.com, does it make more sense to use a 301 or 302 redirect?
I get the difference between 301 (permanent) and 302 (temporary) redirects, but I'm wondering if there's something I'm not considering when it comes to this particular use case.
I don't foresee using mycompanyhear.com for anything different in the future, though I might consider perhaps using that one as a blog for mycompanyhere.com. Does this affect the 301 vs 302 decision at all? I imagine it'd be different if I wanted to do something completely different and unrelated to the original (current) website.
