My site (qdexx.com) went from slow, steady progress over the last 7 years and a significant increase in Mar to near dead over the second half of March until now. I've made a support ticket with Google, but no issues (link in comments), but everything they've tried has turned out just fine, and I've gotten silence from them more recently.
Here's an outline of what's happened
- Exponential increase in unexplained crawl anomalies in search console
- Validations immediately fail, and have failed for the last 30 days.
- Decrease in number of pages indexed was 300k in March to 90k now.
- Performance is fine as verified in Lighthouse & Azure
- Product Exports hammered the site with thousands of requests without an issue.
- Logs reveal 404 are from real pages that don't exist
- Logs reveal 500 errors are very few and far between.
- Uptick in non-www indexing, which is 301 redirected to www.
- Lighthouse gave me one error, but I'm not able to reproduce this in a private browsing session.
- Analytics/Adsense support the changes to these numbers.
- SEO Spider doesn't reveal any issues with any of the pages in question
SEO checkers don't reveal any major, glaring issues that would warrant a massive drop like this.
What's your take on what's going on?
