Custom Technologies or WordPress For Better Site SEO

Hi SEO folks,

I doubt whether to go for custom technologies like HTML or any front-end development frameworks for website development or use WordPress.

What SEO advantages and disadvantages do WordPress sites have? Will my SEO suffer if I develop it using any custom technology.

I would like to learn from your experience.
