Help with domain i purchased

I originally wanted a particular domain but it was owned by a domain squatter who wanted a fair amount of money and wouldn't budge on their price, so i decided to still use the two word domain name, just add a dash between the two words.

Purchased the domain, built the site (has been about 6 months since). Anyway, i went back to the domain squatter (since they sent me a 30% off email) and decided to make a lowball offer , and was able to acquire the domain i originally wanted for a decent price.

Now to my question: - The hyphenated domain is a new domain (6 months old). The non-hyphenated domain (bought from the squatter) is 5 years old. Should i migrate the hyphenated site content to the non hyphenated site as in copy everything and just replicate it to the other site, then delete the hyphenated site content, then do 301 redirects via google domains? or should i just redirect the older url to the hyphenated one? Will the hyphenated url benefit any to just have a 301 redirect from an older domain pointing to it? I'd like to maximize pagerank if possible.
