How much does a post's age matter?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if a blog post's age has more influence over its ranking than its length.

I have an article that is 3000+ words which ranks lower than another with only around 150 words. Mine is more than a year younger than the other.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!
