How to outrank local business with similiar name :/

Good morning Reddit,

This is my ghost account.

I own a local service company with my last name in the title "Harrison Law Firm". I have a local competitor who has the same last name as me and was in the business before me. He also has a business name that is similar such as "Harrison Law practice"

I have been in business for approx 3-4 years and SEO traffic is increasing as well as revenues and business growth.

However, I don't want people who are looking for me on the Googles to be matched up with him.

Currently, he is ranking higher for our last name however I am ranking for more keywords.

My question is how can I improve my last name ranking?

I currently am doing the following;

All social media/PPC campaigns/SEO optimized website/Youtube Videos

Am I forced to go down the route of making more blog posts with my name sprinkled in there and my local city?

Any idea helps.
