I am planning to build a website but due to lack of money I am currently looking to use free WordPress site and later on buy the domain and integrate them. My question is, when a site goes from WordPress.com to .com, does it also impact SEO?

I mean let's say I have a fairly decent traffic in WordPress.com and now I bought a domain of the same name and just change the url. Will it all effect ranking? Does Domain Authority change as well?
