after finally getting the Job for technical seo in my company as career changer, I also already got my first task. My boss wants to know, why we've lost so much traffic in the past few months (besides the fact, that he relaunched the page a few months ago and doesn't get any more referrals from linkedin and mail). To be honest, I have the feeling, I still don't know everything I need to now in my company to do my job correctly. And yes, I know that traffic isn't really a big factor to look for in seo...
So I checked the data on google analytics and semrush. Analytics shows me exactly, that the traffic plummets from August to September (a drop of over 200 users) while Semrush shows me only a traffic reduce of about 20 users.
Which one can I trust more?
