Title tag - Difference between WordPress Settings to pages setting.

Hello people, Keep doing great!

I have a question regarding the title tag.

What is the difference between the title tag I put in my Home Page/ Blog page etc, using Yoast plugin, and between the title tag I define In WordPress (Settings -> General -> site name)

If I am using Yoast to determine my Home page title tag, what should I write in the WordPress settings?
What is the WordPress title tag settings used for
