Hey everyone, quick question. Suppose I have a site where it's set up to have a specific page as its home, rather than the root domain. It actually pertains to a wiki, as apparently MediaWiki is best set up for SEO in the following way:
eg "MySite(dot)com" redirects to "MySite(dot)com/wiki/Main_Page". Should I be linking to that root domain, or should I be linking to "Main_Page" via my other related site? Is it safer to just use root domain in case site structure ever needs to be changed for some reason? I really don't expect that to ever be the case, but just in case? That should be a 301 redirect which should transfer almost all link juice, shouldn't it?
Also as an aside, I was wondering if you guys have any good resources for anchor text and deciding what my most beneficial anchor text might be. My initial approach would just be to use my site's title eg "My Wiki: Tagline" is it's sort of self-contained and says exactly what the site is. If not, what other approaches may be beneficial? I just figure since I'm linking to the main site and not a specific page on it, that'd be the best option?
Anyway, thanks so much for your help! :)
