Hiya, need some advice, your time is valuable so I'll be brief:
Me: Worked in IT support for the last couple of years but had some cracks at digital marketing on the side for my boss and really enjoyed it. Currently looking to make the switch over to working on that side of the industry but I'm hampered by a lack of experience. But hey, you have to start somewhere.
The situation: I've applied for a couple of positions in SEO, and one of them has invited me for interview, they've also asked me create a brief plan for a couple of their websites.
Now I have an understanding of what SEO is and roughly how one would go about measuring and improving it, but I haven't done anything hands-on and don't know about the real life nitty gritties.
I need some advice on where to start with a plan that looks at and strategizes an improvement to their SEO. What should I be looking at on their end, what are they expecting me to present them?
I don't want anyone to try to tell me everything, just point me in the right direction and tell me what you would do roughly.
Any advice is greatly appreciated, hopefully this could be the start of a fruitful career in this field!
