Do you think banning fans affect Facebook Page SEO?

I'm operating a Facebook page for a politician under his permission. He is a very controversial politician (Not Donald Trump of cause :D) so there are a lot of people who love him as well as hate him.

As hateful comments are very annoying for his image, I had to ban a lot maybe over 5000 people during the past 3 years after discussing with his media team.

Now the page has around 70000 likes (his area is a small city) while still, 75000 are following. I guess the gap is the people I had to ban.

Now the page getting around 500 reactions and 50 comments per post and almost no hateful comments as well as only very few annoying "haha" or "angry" reactions.

But 2 years ago, we had over 2000 reactions and over 100 comments per post. Also, please note that at that time he was in the opposition.

Now he is in the government as a minister. It is normal for fans to lose the interest of politicians when they are ruling. So that also a major reason to reduce the reactions and likes for the page.

But my concern is, do you think banning those people who hate him, affected the facebook SEO of the page?

If I have to unban all of those 5000 people, how may I handle their hateful comments? (Deleting comments makes them even more provocative).

Thanks in advance for any suggestions by SEO experts. I'm glad to find this great subreddit to learn more.
