Hey!
I've developed a variation of one classic game in HTML5(playable in browser), and now trying to do the SEO. The game has many variations(layouts), many of which match the search keywords with good volume. I want to create a separate page for each layout variation, but in this case there will be lots of duplicate content, as the game page also has some written content - How to play, Game history, Tips and Tricks etc. Only title and heading would be different. My initial idea was to canonicalize all these pages, but now I figured they are not getting indexed by google.
So two questions:
- Does this strategy make sense at all?
- How can I avoid duplicate content issue? Should I just remove all the text from variation pages and just rely on meta tags for SEO?
