I am in talks with an SEO consultant. I want to track results and make my expectations clear before starting the engagement.
Is it reasonable to ask the SEO consultant to commit the number of keywords we would rank -
- First for
- 2-5 for
- 5-10 for
- page 2-5 for
Our company is in a new field and we are defining the space, so there are no strong competitors or incumbents SEO-wise.
Given that I am able to help him decide the keywords and facilitate what he needs from my team, is this a reasonable ask? SEO consultants are all usually reluctant to promise something like this, especially in a shortened time-span. I understand the reason, but this leaves me with not much to really track and evaluate his performance. What would you recommend I track?
I'm willing to pay the amount that is necessary.
