301 to new domain - how long does it take? (experiences)

Hey,

i've bought an expired domain over 2 years ago and put some posts on it. These articles rank very well. But because the domain is unbrandable i wanted to "merge" this domain with a new one.

3 days ago i've put a 301 on all articles + edited the transition in google search console, that the old domain transfers to the new domain.

Now my questions:

#1 At the moment google has not put the new url in the serps. How long does it take?

#2 The old site has 200 google traffic per day. If the 301s are correct - can i assume that google will transfer the rankings to the new domain? The new domain is also expired and in the same category.
