Help with figuring out referral traffic origin

Hey all.

I’ve got a situation that is stumping me. I’m hoping someone can help.

One of my clients, “city.website”, gets a whole bunch of referral traffic from “travelcountry.com”. Specifically, the traffic is all directed to one specific blog about cabins (city.website/blog/cabins)

We get about 300 visitors to our website per day that are referred from “travelcountry.com”. However… “travelcountry.com” doesn’t have any back links pointing to us. I used Ahrefs, manually checked every link on the referring URL, and even checked the source code to see if our website “city.website” showed up. There’s no way (that I can tell) for any visitor to “travelcountry.com” to get directed to “city.website”, let alone 300 every single day.

I am super stumped. What could possibly be going on? How can we be getting traffic from a page that doesn’t link to us?

Thanks very much for any insight…
