I'm deploying this website for a client which is technically a mirror of an old and slow site, using newer PWA-like technology. It has one URL, which takes one parameter: /?path=
. Path takes the URL for the specific page on the old site, and the page then recreates it and delivers it considerably faster.
This new website is supposed to replace the old website, while the old site will live on a subdomain, hidden off in a corner somewhere. The old website will still host the content, and the editors will still go there to publish new content. Users and search machines will be exposed only to the new site.
What is the SEO implications of this?
