When I first approached this client about doing SEO for his roofing business he was rather hesitant at first as his business was already doing well and he had paid marketing people in the past with no return on investment, but after some time I convinced him that because his business was doing good now that he should invest in the future of his business by investing in SEO marketing that would help him rank and drive qualified leads anywhere between 6-12 months for now. It was a hard sell but with a little convincing and a video walking him through the competition SEO he was in for a trial run with a meeting at 6 months to determine if we would move forward.
When I first got to his site the SEO was rather limited at the time as his previous companies didn't optimize the internal or external SEO structure leaving a lot up to be changed and optimized; however, fast forward to 5 months and 3 weeks later and his website has made drastic improvements to both overall traffic and total lead generation to the point where he is seeing about 10-20 leads a month which in the roofing industry can be solid depending on the size of the job. Long story short I have this meeting coming up and I would like to discuss raising the price for his SEO services as he's doing well and not only did I discount his services in the beginning but I also believe with more resources we could target a larger volume of search terms or areas. How should I go about asking this? I don't want to spook him away as he was already hesitant to sign on when we first met.
