I know one can't ask how much people pay for keyword research, as that's dependent on too many different factors.
So, I was instead wondering, how do people figure out how much to pay for keyword research? What thought processes/checklists/rules of thumb are involved?
And what should you expect out of various budgets. Say a keyword research budget of $25, or $50, or $100, or a few hundred. I'm wondering how one might figure out if they've gotten what they paid for, or if they've been taken advantage of.
