How important is cannabalization and how do you avoid it with a sub niche blog?

Hi.

Struggling to figure out how to avoid this.

For example, if our site niche is credit cards (random example) we'd obviously end up with loads of articles which inadvertently cannabalised the same keywords - even if it's not the one targeted. Eg. "best credit cards" "best credit card rewards" etc etc.

Is this unavoidable to a certain extent on a blog in a particular niche?

Struggling to figure out how to structure it.
