How to do a 301 redirect properly

Hi,

Quick question regarding 301. I'll try to be as much clear as possible.

Subpage 1 has good content written around Keyword A. The same Subpage ranks very well for Keyword B (top 1) and Keyword C (top 3). Keyword C became is the most important for me now, Keyword A the least important.

Keyword B and Keyword C are similar keywords - they're synonyms and they are used interchangeably.

Subpage has 1 has URL with exact keyword as Keyword C - which I consider a good ranking factor.

I want to create Subpage 2 with URL exactly the same as Keyword A and 301 redirect to Subpage 1 to it.

At the same time, I want to add new text optimised for Keyword B and Keyword C and put into Subpage 1 (so it has the same URL as Keyword C).

I'm a little confused on how I go about doing that. I would like to keep Subpage 1 with the current URL it has and add new text to it. At the same time, I want all the juice from Subpage 1 be redirected to the new Subpage 2 with new URL and old text.

Does this make sense? Do you think this is the right strategy to keep Keyword B in top 1 and boost Keyword C even higher? I'm pretty confident that new text is much better optimised for those keywords. At the same time, Subpage 1's backlinks have also been heavily linked to Keyword B and Keyword C.
