There's no one perfect formula for writing email subject lines that bring high open rates...
But there are a few things you can do to increase your chances of success:
- Keep your subject lines short and to-the-point.
Example: I have a post on website security that I want to pitch a link prospect.
Subject: Website security in a pitch
- Personalize them as much as possible, using the recipient's name if possible.
Example: I target a website with a guest post pitch, the site is about hassle-free marketing and the prospect I will reach out to is John, their sr. content manager.
Subject: John, Rank on Google without even trying
- Use a catchy headline or phrase to get the recipient's attention.
Example: I target a website that have a post about how an ecommerce has been tricked by credit card scammers. The company represent make payment security software.
Subject: Make your website payment safe with these tips!
- Make sure your subject line accurately reflects the content of the email.
