I've gotten very comfortable and confident when it comes to pitching, executing, and proving value on SEO and PPC, both of which are directional advertising.
I know for a business to grow in a lot of scenarios branding / awareness advertising is the way to get you past that next hump, but I'm having trouble pitching it (possibly for the appropriate budget) and then proving value after the campaign is done or while it's running even. My specific example is still digital too, it's display ads and I can even show how many people click the ad or if it's brick and mortar I can show how many people show up to the location. What I'm having trouble with on the few branding campaigns I have done is proving value to do it continuously. Am I setting the wrong expectations? I've thought about making it mandatory for client to agree in principal to multiple years of branding ads because branding might take so long I just haven't run ads long enough to see the return. Any help is appreciated.
