Does changing a UI for a website without changing content affects my SEO performance

I have a website that I worked tirelessly for two years to make it organically appear in the first page for a given keyword in my country...

However, all my users complain about its UX design, and I am about to change the UX design... would google consider it a new website and eliminate me from the search list and I would have start all over again?
