I'm a newbie at SEO and have a question I was looking to get answered.
So say you have an Ecommerce site and some products located in multiple categories.
- Does it make much of an impact if you don't have canonical tags assuming you have few links to product pages (more to category level), Crawl budget is a non issue.
- How unique does a page need to be generally until google considers it different content - E.g. if specs all stay the same but you write a different copy for the description. Would this suffice?
- Is it a good idea to try to target different keywords by having the same product with different names/description/meta title and description?
I'm potentially being tasked with writing unique copy for these product pages, so wanting to find out if it's an efficient use of time. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this.
Thanks
