I currently have a domain that deals with specific programming languages. I was thinking about creating a new domain in a similar niche. The content will be distinct as it will deal with a different programming language, but it will cover similar concepts and ideas.
In light of the latest updates by Google, would my original domain get penalized for having a second domain in a similar niche, covering similar concepts by the same author, but the content would not be duplicated?
While I could look for opportunities to place the new content in the original domain, it may not be a full fit. Also, I would want to experiment with the new domain by adding new Web applications, which I would avoid placing in the original domain to prevent any breaks. I just don't want to create something which would harm my existing domain.
Your feedback is appreciated.
