Added relevant rich text to site, huge drop followed :/

Hi guys, so after wrestling around a bit with the idea, I finally decided to add some rich Text to my site's homepage. I have steadily increased my ranks from page 3-4 to low 1 in the last 6 months, that's why I questioned whether I should add the rich text now, since it could hurt me.

Well I did and...it did.

I added around 200 words of solid, informative and useful Text to my homepage, explaining my products, how we handle orders and payments and what customers can expext from the products. H1 is my main keyword (for example: Mechanic watches)

Did that 5 days ago. Ranking dropped pretty much day 1 after the change and remained there. My blog posts still rank the same, but my homepage has gone from page 1 to page 3. Sticking there like it's real cozy over there.

I read that neg. rank changes are normal after a change like that since Google is re-evaluating your site...figuring out where to put you know.

How long does Google usually take for that? And, if it turns out that the rich text really did hurt, why do you think that is? I did not have any text there before which I thought was pretty bad...

Thanks for weighing in guys.
