Aside from checking domain authority (i use moz) how else can i check whether or not theres a spot on the first page I can rank for?

For example searching for the term "athletes foot medication"

Using the MOZ domain checker plugin I can see that there are 3 ranking sites with a domain authority less than 40.

This seems like a good opportunity to squeeze in my site with a 60 or 70 DA score.

I understand that there is nuance to SEO but is this one of the factors I can consider in evaluating viability?

I understand relevance, quality of content and seo optimization of the page is important

What other factors am I missing?
