Ask to modify a BL on a guest post is it a good idea?

Hi guys,

I have 2 BL on a guest post and the first one is pointing to my root and the second one to an URL.

I have seen that there is a link loss for the second link appearing on the page in term of link juice.

So as my first link is a root and I do not want to rank higher on the home page but more on deep url should I ask to cancel this first link ?

(The link is in a sort of bio box at the beginning)

I do not want to make more harm than good modifying this guest so your comment are welcome.
