Planning to change my website hosting to Wordpress

Hi

I have a website about programming which used to get decent tariffs few years back .. over last one year the traffic is declined by 50% . majorly because I don’t get time to update it and there are more competitors building bigger website with lot of contents.

At this point I have fewer options to improve traffic 1) create more backlinks? I haven’t been successful in past and would have to pay some Seo company to do that. 2) add more content . Honestly I don’t have much time and money to pay for. 3) more interested to get people thoughts. Most of the other websites are on Wordpress , does seo optimization and content sharing with Wordpress help . Would it be good idea to migrate content to new website domain on a Wordpress ?
