Change my website in Google index from "www." to without "www." Will it affect the rankings?

Hello,

So, i did some on-site SEO for my website, I changed some keywords, added new ones in my content, on all the pages on the website. Using Yoast I also changed the TT's and all the meta descriptions, and I would like to have google re-crawl my website. I also submitted for a re-crawl in Search Console

Now, i see that google indexed my website as: "www.mysite.com", but the changes I made are for "mysite.com". My website also has a redirect, from www.mysite.com to mysite.com.

My question are: Will google index the new meta descriptions from mysite.com?

Do I need to change the preference in Search Console? If i confirm the change from www. to no-www. would affect my rankings?
