Formatting keywords for platform searches

I'm working with a platform that allows me to use my own keywords to generate traffic through an in-house search tool on a website. I've just got a few questions about formatting. The system itself is not very descriptive about the proper formatting of keywords. I know I should separate each keyword with a comma, but should there be any spacing between the start of a keyword/phrase?

For example, should it look like this:

dogs, cat, bird, big pile of animals, horses with human toes,Australian wildcats

Or should it look like this:

green, tomato, potato, garage full of mashed spiders, cats with human fingers, green beans, frogs

I'm focused on the comma spacing.

Keyword,(space)KKeyword,(space)Keyword

or

Keyword,Keyword,Keyword

Also, what's the rule of thumb with capitalization? Thanks. I really need to get more traffic through these keywords above. There's a growing industry for [insert something about animals with human appendages)
