Starting a new blog with PA/DA =1 one week ago, what do I do?

The new blog is about fashion topic, the two major types of competitors are established fashion blogs and fashion e-commerce websites.

What I have done:

1. Write about niche keywords and got on to the 1st page in SERP for niche queries (queries of 3 - 4 words, because of good keyword matching and few competition)
2. Add some basic DoFollow backlink by creating blogs from some public blog platforms;
3. Trying to update blog posts frequently so that Google knows this is active.
4. Make sure the blog/pages are SEO friendly and using Google AMP.

However, competitors advantages are:

1. Higher PA/DA (but not crazy. PA/DA Moz score of 25 to 50 in average), and their domain age is older;
2. A lot more backlinks (1k-10k) and referring domains (50-300) than what I have (< 10).
3. Also actively updating their contents.

If you were me starting this blog, what would you do to rank for some higher volume keywords? (If possible, I'll try avoid black hat approaches.)
