Duplicate Content between pages SEO

Hey all,

So on our website when it was built (previously by someone with no understanding of SEO- so you know how it goes) all of our industrial products were given their own unique pages, all with identical copy sets other than a few details here and there. Think of it like this. We have a PT-XXXX series of products and each product has their own page, i.e. PT-XXX1, PT-XXX2, PT-XXX3, PT-XXX4. (goes on for about 15 items between 6 different lines of products) and they all serve the same function but have different dimensions/action rates. But essentially the features/benefits is the same for all. So the previous marketing guy saw it fitting to give them pretty much all the same descriptions, features, and even warranty text (1000 words) between each and every one. Now these aren't products that are necessarily easy to create unique & differentiating copy between. But from my SEO understanding, it must be done- especially because these are product pages we want to rank on (and some we do rank on, but as of recently we have fallen off the first page and I am trying to recoup.

So I'm thinking to rewrite all the copy between them so they are each unique in their own way but essentially serve the same messaging. Just going to be very tough to do 16 different ways.. so I'm quite weary.

I am thinking to remove the 1000 word warranty copy all together and include either an internal link on-page or a footer link to our warranty info (since all products have the same warranty).

What are your thoughts?
