SEO more difficult than coding/software dev?

I tried to major in csci in college and absolutely HATED it even though I spend most my time behind the PC.

I guess my question would be... would you say doing SEO is more or less difficult than software development?

As someone who hates math and programming should I avoid it?

Also do i need to be good at building websites to be a good at SEO?

Is the field over saturated? What is the earning potential if you become good at it?

Right now I'm learning funnel building and making things like squeeze pages/video sales letters/email sequences/copy etc.. I might just stick to that for now. But I also feel like SEO would be a good thing to pick up and master somewhere down the road.

Do you think SEO has a better earning potential that mastering good funnels/copy/email sequences?
