My best article in terms of rankings is within competitive keywords.
I offer a service which is also offered by the government. On my article I provide two links, one to complete with me (which is how I make money) and one that allows the user to do it with the Government.
I probably get 15 people opting to do it with me and 45 people opting the external link every day.
Does having 45 clicks externally increase the SEO strength of that page?
It makes more business sense to remove it, but I wonder if I lost those clicks if it might have a negative effect on the page's ranking? For instance, if instead of clicking the link, they bounce back to the SERP and click the other link.
Any thoughts/advice is really appreciated
