I created a static site earlier this year, but have been tasked with now adding a blog to it.
As much as possible, I want the blog to boost the SEO of the main domain, which leads to think that it would be best to create a subdirectory for the website rather than a new repository for a subdomain, but I am not sure that I am able to integrate the new framework I would use (Gatsby js with contentful SMS) to the source code of the site.
From the googling I have done, I've gotten mixed answers on the effects of hosting a blog on a subdomain.
Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.
