I have a a <myname>.com - right now it's a basic "portfolio"-type page with an introduction that describes my type of work, links to my Twitter, LinkedIn, GitHub, and other publications.
Right now when I search google for "my name" the first thing that comes up is my LinkedIn profile, followed by a LinkedIn search page for "300+" other people with my name, and then finally my personal website.
I feel like I'm going up against Goliath here, trying to outrank LinkedIn for a specific search term.. but it should be achievable for something as specific as my name, no?
(my name isn't super generic like "John Smith", but there are a few others that share the same name it seems.)
