This tool seems really iffy. If I create a brand new page and get Google to come and index the URL it usually works straight away. But try to get Google to come and index the changes of an older page just don't seem to work at all.
Yesterday morning I tried to index an existing page with updated content. Used the URL Inspection tool and submitted my request. Looked in Google Analytics and it looked like Google was scanning the page, as my views for that page always increases after I request it. Today I checked and Google hasn't indexed the changes. And I've just tried it again a few hours ago and still nothing.
This tool is really inconsistent. And I know it's working fine because after I request Google to come index it says the URL is fine and there isn't any issues with the page itself. If there's a queue, why does it index a new page instantly but takes ages to index existing page changes?
