So, a friend of mine hired an "SEO expert" in india, and I need help figuring out if they're telling the truth.

So, they copied text from another business' website, and pasted it into an image description on our website. I caught it, then asked why after three weeks this is what they decided to start with instead of starting with items that will help to rank fast. This is what they replied:

"It is important and we have started with on page seo which is important than anything else because it allows user a smooth experience. When ever user visit the website its should be SEO friendly and load faster. And the first thing that load in website is content and then images "
I have already made list in Trello step by step process of On Page SEO. For content duplication, its not duplication. The website is we are referring for SEO inspiration. If you check Audit of that website, they are doing well so we have taken inspiration from it. We are yet to upload few things in Img text and our content will be 100% palgarism free."

Is that correct?
