Any tips to avoid keyword cannibalization?

I am working on a Tech Niche Site and planning to publish monthly updates for a particular software. I have a doubt about the Focus Keyword.

Assuming “Software1” is the focus keyword. I would like to publish articles each month as separate articles

I have created a landing page for "Software1" and have links to the monthly articles.

1. December 2020 - Tips
2. January 2021 - Tips

What focus keyword should I use for each of these articles since I cannot use “Software1” for each of these articles. Also, I cannot create a separate article for each tip since it will not be that big to write them as separate articles. Any suggestions?
