Hey Redditors, I have a online shop that I'm starting out in Canada and the plan is to eventually sell to the US as well. Right now I'm thinking of just focusing on the Canadian market as it's probably easier to rank higher for keywords and increase my chances of success since there is less competition. Eventually the goal is to rank well in the United States as well. I'm thinking if I should go with a .com domain and just have a localized en_CA page or should I go with a .ca domain first then eventually create a .com later?
